well in my basic ...
well in my basic they did the obstacle course week 1 and then like week 6 or 7 so we could see how much better we got. We also did a completely different one? and that one we did only once, which i thought was fun but like you said, could be seen as pointless

The Army doesn't do bayonet training anymore. Only the Marine Corps? does.

When I was in Basic ...
When I was in Basic in 93 at Fort Jackson we just shoot from a fox hole mostly with our M16-A2 rifle rested on a sand bag. 100 yard, 200 yard, & 300 yard pop-up targets to hit. I can see after Iraq? war started in 2003 some things have changed.

This was the best ...
This was the best part of BCT for me. Just dont EVER point the barrell towards ANYONE, or they? will form tackle you on the spot. Saw it happen many times.

since people? are ...
since people? are talking about pointless parts of BCT or OSUT depending on your MOS. I think Bayonet training is useless. Im not running upon anyone. I have soldiers to my left and right hopefully they have good aim. I'd rather just stab them without fixing my knife as a bayonet. Just so you all know I'm still finishing my enlistment for 19D Cav Scout 16 weeks most likely Ft. Benning which is my same state im in. MEPS next tuesday on my 18th Birthday. Hopefully they say im all clear.

To future soldiers!!! You have to be positive during BCT and always have a positive outlook or u will be like KillFilmVol3 and the experience wont be as nice and a great learning experience as it was for? me as him!

I can't get used to ...
I can't get used to watching this new Army in training. When I went through basic at "lost in the woods", Drill Instructors were cruel, and we had very little fun, these guys seem to laugh and cut up all the time!? LOL

how is it pointless getting used to firing a weapon you could be using? in the field? you get to feel it's recoil and get used to it's sights and how to aim it. are you sure you were in basic?

The? more I watch this crap the more I remember just how soft BCT was for any body after 03. Saying yes, or just nodding you're head wouldn't have been tolerated in reception much less across the tracks. Buch of freaking soft boys acting like hard men.
